JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Grants and Contracts Manager works under limited supervision and guidance of management. This position is primarily responsible for creating, collaborating and negotiating investigator budgets and contracts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a flexible approach to address issues innovatively and proactively.
  • Provides the Business Development and Proposal teams with grant estimates for RFP development.
  • Consults with clients to provide strategic insights in the development and negotiation of site budgets, contract terms, and ancillary documents (including their respective parameters).
  • Responsible to negotiate all investigator budgets and contracts, as well as any applicable ancillary documents (e.g. Start-up Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Amendments, etc.), as directed by clients.
  • Responsible for communicating the status of budgets and contracts with key internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Manage and track all investigator budgets, contracts, and ancillary documents from initial request through the contract lifecycle, from contract generation, to negotiation, approval, execution, and archival.
  • Maintains CTMS and eTMF for filing executed agreements and relevant correspondence for prompt retrieval and tracking relevant dates.
  • Adheres to strict code of confidentiality as it relates to clients and policies and procedures of Company.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external clients, while maintaining a flexible approach to address issues innovatively and proactively.
  • Prioritizes customer issues and addresses them accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in health care, pharmacy, life science or related field or RN degree from an accredited nursing school (work experience may be considered)
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of contract review, drafting and negotiation experience in a corporate legal department or contracts department of a CRO, healthcare or life sciences company.
    • 2 + years’ experience with budget development and negotiation.
    • Ability to handle contract negotiations with minimal supervision.
    • Must have demonstrated ability in negotiation skills, project management skills, effective communication, and relationship management abilities.
    • Analytical skills, legal drafting skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strategic thinking, influencing, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and ability to take ownership of assigned projects and to meet or exceed deadlines.
    • Motivated to work in a constantly changing environment, maintaining a high degree of accuracy and flexibility.
    • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and email, Knowledge of Grant preparation software.
    • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary to attend meetings.

Pay Rate: €54,305.75 - €65,166.90 - €76,028.05 Annually

The compensation range listed above is provided in euros to maintain consistency across our global job postings. For employees hired in countries that do not use the euro, Advanced Group will convert the range to the applicable local currency before a final candidate is selected. Final compensation will be determined in accordance with local market conditions, internal equity, applicable regulations, and our overall compensation philosophy.
