The Business Development Manager (BDM) identifies and pursues new and existing business opportunities, while enhancing relationships with existing clients.  The BDM will identify new client opportunities, send sales collateral, prospect potential clients, and other lead generation activities. The BDM will enter all client information and activities into the CRM and other systems, send candidate submissions as requested, and other duties to drive sales. The BDM will be responsible for targeting clients within the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device industries. The specific focus will be within Quality, Validation, and GmP segments.

Responsibilities: 

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain long-term client relationships resulting in the expansion of client base.
  • Directly implement initiatives to help build awareness of our company capabilities and services.
  • Maintain and adhere to an organized sales strategy with the objective of both bringing in new business as well as maintaining long-term business.
  • Uncover immediate needs of target market through leads and follow-ups, executing internal and external initiatives to drive profitable growth.
  • Effectively develop long-term relationships with network of industry Quality, Validation, and Manufacturing leaders to capture future business.
  • Consistently strive to bring creativity and differentiation to sales process.
  • Enter information in CRM and help with sales tracking activities.
  • Set up meetings with potential and current clients at industry meetings/trade shows and generate associated follow up.
  • Generate revenue in accordance with sales goals set by management.
  • Track and monitor adherence to the client contracting process.
  • Ensure timely submission of candidates to clients.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications: 

  • College Education is preferred but not required, equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the staffing industry either as a Recruiter or BD is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be self-motivated and highly-collaborative.
  • Candidate must have highly effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of MS office.
