Job Summary

Under limited direction, the International Operations Director will enjoy the challenge of leading as an individual contributor, the International staffing operations. The role works with leadership and internal teams to develop best practices and processes. 

The IOD will be responsible for creating or enhancing International staffing operational infrastructure and processes with the applicable region/country according to the laws and regulations.  The IOD will work with the teams to ensure all staffing SOPs, systems and regulations are understood and followed.  The IOD collaborates with Business Development and Delivery to support and offer strategy and program oversight.

The role manages the onboarding and maintenance of candidates including contracts / offer letters, background verifications, extensions, visa requirements, metrics reporting, etc.   As the International Staffing Operation grows, this role will be responsible to build an Operations team

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Business Acumen:
    • Contribute to and understand the Advanced Clinical overall financial plan and the operations contribution to company goals.
    • Understand international staffing as it relates to employee type, contracting, labor laws, and country-specific requirements.
    • Utilize appropriate outside resources to manage international staffing requirements.
  • Technical Knowledge and Management:
    • Provide guidance and oversee implementation of training strategies related to service delivery, continuous improvement, process management, and technology.
    • Maintain awareness of all Departments to identify improvements and develop processes with Front Office Leadership and Shared Services Operations.
    • Implement and facilitate process improvement based on quality auditing/reporting.
    • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate reporting of billable hours, invoicing, and flexible staff payment.
    • Lead the audit quality process and advise on legal compliance.
    • Conduct internal quality audits of onboarding paperwork and processes.
    • Manage development and execution of client-specific exhibits/Work Orders.
    • Support client programs through process development for onboarding, contracts, timesheets, expenses, etc.
    • Design and deliver operational training for recruiting and sales teams.
  • Individual Contribution:
    • Accountable for accuracy of placement setup, ensuring correct pay/bill setup and commission payout.
    • Ensure timely and thorough documentation of candidate data and paperwork into ATS.
    • Manage candidate onboarding and paperwork compliance.
    • Work with Employee of Record vendors in countries without an Advanced Clinical staffing license.
    • Ensure compliance with client-specific screening and paperwork requirements.
    • Accountable for client audit results.
    • Manage payroll audit processes and controls.
    • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Training: Working knowledge of international labor and employment laws is required.
  • Experience: 10+ years’ experience in a service or consulting environment; staffing preferred.
